Greater Swiss Mountain dogs generally do not drool at all. As far as shedding, it's an average amount if you brush them out regularly (at least weekly). If you don't brush them often enough, there will be fur tumbleweeds on your floor on an ongoing basis.
That said, my Swissy (now deceased at age 9) was one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met and was a wonderful member of our family.
