From the material I read, they gave great pyrenees a life span of 10-12 years. Mine lived to be 15 years old. He began having hip issues and eye sight problems at age 13. He ran a lot, due to the large backyard and the farmers vehicles traveling the easeway (he loved to bark at them as they drove the gravel path). The doctor believed this is what kept him heathly. His weight stayed between 90-100lbs. I hope this helps.
