More frequent potty calls are in order, every hr till they get the hang of it, and no play time while on a potty call. Danes can take longer to housebreak and patience is important. As to the chewing, you need to redirect the activity, not hit the pup for doing it, danes are sensitive and will become even more destructive when reprimanded this way. Danes need to be around people and housing her away from the family is destructive when teaching them. Patience is a virtue with danes, they certainly will try it many times till they become adults. Outdoor housing for a dane is not advisable at all. Find an area that can be cleaned up and made safe for the pup and move it indoors, you will see quickly results when they are a family member.
