That would depend upon how well bred he is or if he has euro lines. Per AKC breed standards a male dane should be at least 30" tall at the shoulder. Anything over that is typical, larger danes 35"-37"+ tend to have some euro lines. Male american bred danes ten to be 30"-35"+. there will always be exceptions to that, but anything over 30" is standard for a male.
