that depends on your lifestyle, really. if you like a good watchdog and a mellow companion, great danes make awesome pets.

We love our big boy. He's a gorgeous solid blue. He's 110 pounds at 6 months and eats about a gallon a day. Sounds like a lot but the vet says his weight is perfect. He's a big lap dog. Don't regret getting him for a second!

Great Danes make excellent pets, I consider mine as a family member and they love it when you give them affection. Even though they are VERY BIG they are very very very gentle especially with children. They are also very smart. So yes they make good pets! :)
