Our GS is 2 years old she scraps her teeth on the tile and bites the wood floors. She continuously will drag her tongue on the floors and when you walk you slip on the wetness. She hardly ever lays down she is in continuous motion. Is this because she is still young. I walk her daily when I have her but she is our sons dog and when he works she is at home alone in the house all day. Please help she is so sweet and very smart, this is the one behavior it seems we cannot change.

German shepherds are people dogs and need to be with people. It could be that the dog is bored if left alone for long periods of time. Try dog biscuits and dog toys to keep the dog occupied. They get bored very easily and need to be challenged. If you have a fenced in yard, you should have the dog outside and interacting with you.
