Hi! I have had my German Pinscher almost a year now, we adopted her from another family at a year old. Is it possible to train her even though she is no longer a puppy? We have been trying over the last year but nothing is working. Most of the time it seems like she wont listen, we would love to have her inside most nights with us, but when ever she comes inside she goes toilet everywhere. Please help

Dogs need a pack leader or he/she will become the boss. There are many guides and books on how to become a pack leader but it is best if your very new in understanding dog behavior that you speak to a professional.

I adopted my Pinscher at 3 . He had to learn to be crated, walk and run on a leash and simple commands. They learn very quickly. However, the times when I have moved or had significant changes in living conditions he did act out by going in the house. I am having a difficult time with my newly adopted terrier puppy so I understand your frustration. Be patient and be consistent.
