Are Fila Brasileiro's good with other dogs?

Filas are dogs with a hard to understand temperament! If this is your first time owning a Fila you should definitely take the puppy to obedience classes. This will help him/her to learn the basics of puppy training and also will be good for interaction with other dogs. I own two Filas myself and both of them are great with other dogs. Aversion to strangers is always there. Tip: if your dog is older than 16 weeks, you should take him for daily walks where there is a lot of people, so he can get use to see people. When it comes to dog parks, don't overwhelm him/her by introducing the pup to many dogs at a time! take step by step.

We have a Fila and she was already 4 - 5 months old when we got her. We had to put her in obedience classes to get her socialized. She was very frightened by all the comes and goings in our household. Now she is three and does well but mostly with other dogs. New to her or know for a while. It doesn't matter much. She plays like a puppy with any dog. Bigger than her or smaller. People on the other hand. Well we just say "keep your hands to yourself until she sits on your feet. LOL Then you can pet her. She's a good girl.
