English Springer Spaniel Question

My Springer loves any kind of water. He gets very upset if we don't let him in the pool with us. He loves to dive in after a toy and can hold his breath to dive down to get sinking toys. He's a bit too boyant to make it to the bottom of our 5'6" pool, but he can usually catch his toy before it hits the bottom. Springers are natural clowns and don't seem to mind being dressed up in floaties and goggles as long as they get to swim. Mine started swimming at about 12 weeks old. Just make sure you show your dog where to find the steps to get out of the pool so they don't get exhausted and panic. If they have a good experience the first time, they will be a water dog for life.
