English Springer Spaniel Question

Yes, English Springer Spaniel's are very good with children. We have always (except for a few short years that we were considering Travel) a springer and when the kids were toddlers, we had a female named Babe. In their crawling stage I never had to worry about her nipping at them, it was more the kids nipping the dog! She would lay down and let them do anything including trying to bite her ear and she would never even growl at them. She would also watch them and let me know where they were if she thought they were where they didn't belong. Our dogs were hunting dogs and did well in the house and switching from hunting mode to family mode.

Mine is a great family dog. If you get a Springer puppy, make sure you expose them to as many new people (children and adults of both genders) and dogs as possible (once they have had all of their puppy shots). They will be everyone's friend if you socialize them well when they are young.
