We also have a 4 month old female English Bulldog who did a lot of nipping and biting. As she gets older it has become considerably less frequent, I attribute it to her ages because she is very sweet. To break the bad habit we just follow the general rules of giving her something else to bite and let her know you are boss (i hold her muzzle briefly and stare her down with a firm; no!, and then walk away). the dogs are smart and want affection and will quickly learn biting is not acceptable. English Bulldogs need a human "pack leader", you should Google "how to stop puppy from biting"
