I am thinking of a Dutch Shepherd for a service dog. I train my service dogs in several events from agility to herding to rally obedience to servce & therapy dog work. To be in preformance events it is necessary to have another handler if it is to painful for me. Do Dutch Shepherds work well for another handler?

I was a handler in the Air Force for 10 years and can tell you that all the Dutches that I worked with did not have any problem working with other handlers.

Most Duchess do work will with other handlers but keep in mind that this is a very very loyal breed. So it is going to really bond to you. My advice is get to get it use to work for other people why you are around. Because it is going to have his or her eyes on you.
