the best way to handle that for me is to correct the puppy as soon as it happens or catch it while it is happening. what we do is when they misbehave we make them lay down on there side until they calm down as a punishment do not hit them it will make things worse.

When my doberman was a puppy, she would try to chew on my hands and arms when I would play with her. So, I bought a bottle of doggie Bitter Apple from the pet store and I sprayed it on my hands and arms before I played with her. She hated the taste and after 3 or 4 days she didn't chew on me anymore. It worked like a charm!
