My family adopted a dachshund we think is a miniature. When we first found her, a vet said she was about 4 weeks old; but a month or two later another vet said she was probably about 6 weeks old. She is now approaching 6 months and we want to get her spayed before her first period. She has been losing multiple teeth a day, on and off recently. Is this a sign we should get her spayed sooner rather then later? Will it be bad for her if she really is younger then we think?

There is more likely to be a health issue. I have a mini and we just got her spayed and she is 4 years old and has not had a litter. I would recommend being consistant with a vet. This allows the vet to become familiar with your dog. I would take her in and get a full check up.
