I am a professional breeder. This is not healthy. It is called Coprophagia. There are supplements you can give the dog to stop them from doing that. Meanwhile, they need to see the vet for a thorough check-up to see if they are lacking, as previous poster said, a vital nutrient. Some dogs just eat their own poo out of boredom. Whatever the reason, they make very affordable supplements that will stop it quickly. :)
