Teddy is 10 mo rescue..altho they said he was a mix...don't think so... We adopted him @ 2...


Teddy is 10 mo rescue..altho they said he was a mix...don't think so... We adopted him @ 2 mos.. He lives w/ Irish Wolfhounds.. He sometimes decides that he is not housebroke (like recently) What's up w/ that? He doesn't like anyone but us & his wolfhounds, who he bosses and he shreds everything! Is he a Tazmanian Devil, or is normal? BTW, we love him to death

In my experience it is common. I have one male and my sister has one male. and both of them like to forget that they are house broken. I have talked with breeders and they said its just a male doxie thing to do. As for the not liking anyone but those he has been around could be solved possibly by going to dog parks and socializing him with other dogs. Keep him on a leash just to make sure nothing happens but socialization works very well. And the shredding things could just be teething or restlessness. My male is a bit younger and likes to chew on everyting that he is not supposed to. Try new toys and see what happens. hope this helps
