My female corgi is 11months old and has not showed any signs of coming in heat. Should I be concerned? When do they normally come in heat?

a heat cycle can happen anytime after 5 months of age. you do not need to be concerned unless there are any intact males around then you would need to keep her away from them to avoid her getting pregnant, also this can be messy so you may want to invest in some doggie diapers. The only way to prevent a heat cycle is to get her spayed and this also reduces her risk of developing other health problems associated with not being spayed such as cancer or pyometra. if you are not going to breed her get her spayed.
