Most dogs come in their first heat between 6 months to 1 year. Most of my collies have come in there first heat around 8- 10 mos. All dogs are different. I had one that came in at 6 mos. then she would come in ever 4 mos.She was 50lbs.small bone. Make sure to check you dog with a white tissue and if it is blood red then start counting that as your first day. They can get bred on the 8th day of their heat heat.So you need to just keep them inside and put panties on them.Keep them on a leash for 28 days. that is how long the heat cycle cn last.
