Birds moult & dogs shed. There can be various reasons for a dog to shed. While most breeds shed to some degree, change of season (winter to summer, etc) are most common as they are like us & either need a winter coat or a summer coat. If in-between season shedding occurs, it is to a lesser degree & common. There are other reasons a dog will shed: change of diet; lack of quality healthcare; stress; etc. If you can identify any other reasons besides it being common for them or change of season, then you can adjust their living program to reduce it. Also, the quickest way to reduce shedding is a good grooming brush, a good regular bath or a dog groomer (short coat). Worst case scenario: again, other breeds are known as "non shedding" so that might be something to consider for another time.
