Chinese Shar-Pei Question

I have a shar pei shes a little over a year old; i take her to the lake every night after work! she LOVES it and loves swimming! So i dont think its the breed that doesn't like the water! the first time i brought her i got in the water with her and the second time i brought her favorite toy and threw it in reaching distance and she went in by herself! give it time im sure your pei will also love it!

My Shar-Pei's biggest fear in life was water. He'd run around to the other side of the house when I filled his water bowl, and forget bath's. Rain caused him to try and chew through all entry and screen doors. No matter what I did, nothing could ever calm this fear. Sorry I couldn't offer any helpful advice, but I wanted you to know you aren't alone.
