The old theory used to be to breed a dog on the 10th, 12th, and 14th day after they first come in heat. And in most cases that will work, but I have had a dog breed once on the day she came in heat and one on the 29th day after she came in heat, again, one breeding, and those 2 had 4 and 6 puppies.
