It varies. Our chihuahua just went through it and she was in labor for 19 hours before having the first pup. Then the vet had to do a c section to get the others delivered. This is very common in this breed and very expensive. You will know if they are pregnant by the increase in size of their belly as well as the teets filling in. If you think you have one pregnant it is best to see a vet and have an x ray done to see if she can have a natural delivery so she does not have go through any suffering.
