My Catahoula Leopard Dog is only 7-8 months old and has had a very bad respiratory infection and doesnt seem to be responding to the antibiotics. Is there any congenital defects with the Catahoula Leopard? We were told that she is mixed with Labrador also. We have had her since she was 6 weeks old and now a part of our family. The last month has been hard on all of us, seeing her go thrugh all this.

I have had Curs for many years, and they seldom require a vets attention. Your dogs immune system may be compromised. I practice monthly pints of yogurt. The flavor doesn’t matter. Make sure it has active germs. It's good for you also. In addition the are some fungus that can be transferred to dogs from contaminated soils and dust associated with pigs if you dog is exposed to the environment.

Check your dog food for corn. If there is corn take your Catahoula Leopard Dog off. Some dogs do not do well with corn in their diet.
