I have a 1 year old border collie and now a 8 week old catahoula can these dogs be raised...


I have a 1 year old border collie and now a 8 week old catahoula can these dogs be raised together since the border collie is a very active dog .

I have a 5 year old Border Collie and a 1 year old, shepherd mix, (maybe Catahoula) they did great for the first year, but now the BC wants to herd the shepherd mix. Causes some problems but not anything we can't control. Since your BC is younger I don't think you'll have a many problems.

Mine is the opposite. I have an 11 year old Border Collie and a 6 year old Catahoula. The Cathoula is very protective of the BC and doesn't even want to go on a car ride without him. The BC has a tendency to "herd" the cat, but it has never been an issue with the Cat. Both are very energetic dogs and play with each other every evening before bed!
