Cane Corso Mastiff Question

Looking into getting a puppy cane, i'm 19. Experience with pitbulls and labs

I was looking into getting a cane within the next few weeks, maybe months. However, if i get a puppy now, socialize him daily, will he be okay with a puppy rottweiler in a few months? or a year or so? I love this breed and have been around them. But moving in with my boyfriend, he wants to get a rottweiler. I just need advice, help. ANYTHING. Need to do my research and research is done best by people who have experience.

I have a pit and have had 3 great corsos. the corsos are better behaved (generally), and easier to train. they are massively stronger than pits and bred to be guards, not companions or fighters. you have to work with them a lot to make sure they don't see every new person as a threat to you and your family. if they do see people that way, you won't be able to stop them from protecting you. In their dog-mind, it is all defense, from a human's mind, its being killed by a 130 pound dog. Just my 2 cents. i think they are the greatest dogs ever. They do have short lives, though, topping out around 8-10 years old due to size.
