I have an extremely well-socialized year-old female, lovely all around. I've heard that Cane Corsos, if engaged in a dog fight, do not back down. Is this true? She's a peace lover and tends to shy away from aggressive dogs, but every once in a while at the dog park she WILL stand her ground if she feels provoked. Has anyone had a dog fight experience with their Corso?

No, I think you hear these stories b/c Cane Corsos are such large dogs, of course it is going to be harder to get them under control if they get into a fight. But, all dogs can fight. If she is well-socialized and a lover not a fighter, I would not worry about it :)

Corso's will back down. There is always the more dominant dog that will not back down so you have to know your dog. If she tends to shy away it sounds like you know your girl just always be a good pet parent and supervise your dog at dog parks and outings.
