Cairn Terrier's often do not want to go our for varioud reason. They may be tired, bad weather,spoked by something outside.
If they don't want to go out, and their behavior is stable and if they don't go in the house, i usually don't force them. I had a carin that didn't go out for over 36hrs because of bad winter weather
