I adopted a Carin terrier within the last week. He is 16 weeks old. I was looking for a lively dog who would be active but I am concerned about my decision. He seems wonderful with my children (2 & 11), but I am concerned. He seems to be indifferent towards me. Can anyone offer some tips for bonding, training and development?

You could take him or her on a long daily walk, or spend daily time brushing and petting him or her.Try watching It's me or the Dog(http://animal.discovery.com/tv-shows/its-me-or-dog) or The Dog Whisperer.They'll will give you some training tips. From, vet2b
