American Kennel Club (AKC) is a registry of purebred dog pedigrees in the United States. Founded in 1884, the AKC is the largest purebred dog registry in the world. Along with its nearly 5,000 licensed and member clubs and affiliated organizations, the AKC advocates for the purebred dog as a family companion, advances canine health and well-being, works to protect the rights of all dog owners and promotes responsible dog ownership. Their website is www.AKC.org. As Bulldog breeders, we here at www.BayouBulldogs.net encourage all people looking to adopt or purchase a dog, to read about it on the AKC website to educate yourself on the breed and how to find responsible breeders. Do your homework before !!!
