We have a new addition to our family 2 months ago, this week @ 4 mos our Brussels Griffon went to the groomer for the first time and they cut his hair on top and around his beautiful face and eyes, so now he looks like a blonde because all the black is gone!! Are Brussels supposed to be trimmed and groomed?

Yes, but almost all groomers are not familiar with the breed. I've had my Brussels Griffon come out with a Poodle cut, blow out to look like a Chow--and I even brought in a book about the breed. Best thing is to contact a breeder in your area and explain the situation or if you see a Griff, stop and ask the owner where he is groomed. Lastly, to save grief and money get some clippers and hair scissors

...and everyone will be happy! Worked for us for 13 years!
