Our 10 week old Brittney has blue eyes. We were told by the breeder that they would change to brown. Is that definite or could they stay blue? They have not changed a bit in 2 weeks.

If you have a full blooded Britany it's eyes WILL turn to orange (brown). I have owned and bred Brits and Pointers for years.

if your brittany has blue eyes right now he/she might be doe-eyed which means your brittany's eyes will change from blue to brown like a deer, a doe. If your dog is a purebred they will change.

Whether it's a purebred or not, the eye color could stay blue, but that is very unlikely. I have seen a good handfull of brittanys with blue eyes that are fully grown aduts.

Not to worry! Your Brittany's eyes will change their color over the next six months or so...it will be gradual. A very interesting process as well!
