Boxer Question

My boxer is about 9 yrs od and has cancer

My boxer is about 9 yrs od and has cancer. A day ago he seemed to be having seizures and didnt know - it takes about an hour or so for him to come back to his old self. What can I do for him - he's my baby?

I hope you've seen a vet. My 8 yo boxer also has cancer. We've chosen to let him run his course. He's been very sick his whole life, and we felt that putting him through a surgery would only give him a short while more with us. You'll know when it's time for him to go. It's not easy, they're our kids, but you don't want him to suffer. Speak with your vet and get options from them, then decide the best course of action.

i know its tough for you to have to go thru whats happening to him right now -cancer is one of the boxer breed gentic faults that some can be disposed to-theres not much you can do except make sure hes comfortable if hes haveing a seizure and make sure that he doesnt get hurt while hes haveing one-there are medications he can be put on to keep this under control- you need to discuss this with your vet-as much as we hate to make the final decision as to what an animals quality of life is-you are going to have to face makeing that decision for him sooner rather than later at this stage of his life if the seizures get out of control or his cancer gets any worse-dont let him suffer-
