I don't own one, but, according to my long research, border terriers are non sheddings dogs.

BTs will shed. More so if left in full coat. You can have them stripped twice a year to help remove dead fur. Do not get them clipped their coat will be ruined!

My BT sheds a lot. He's blowing his coat right now, requiring more brushing and grooming--and floor sweeping.

I don't understand why I keep reading border terriers shed little or no hair(above article). They do shed hair and lots of it, I'm constantly brushing up hair and by the end of the day my kitchen floor looks like the floor of a hairdressers! Even after stripping she still shed hair. I was also on the understanding that they didn't shed much from all they articles but do some more research and after meeting other owners I know it's not just my dog. Border Terriers are wonderful dogs and would be perfect if they didn't shed but be aware...they do!
