I have mixed breed dog and he is obviously part border collie. He has all the physical features and build and to boost the personality but he has golden fur we think he is part golden but we're not sure could you breed the two together successfully?

Yes it would be okay. I have seen a rottweiller+collie cross body of the rott and collie head looked strange but had a collie's playful nature. Best of both world's.

if your vet is no help, switch vets in order to find an answer.. or take this: he surely is a mix of a "herding type" so i think yes:)

When i got mine, it said he was a border/lab mix, but he definitely wasnt. We dont want to get a dna test, but he is part hound we think. It is possible that he is golden, but my other dog is part havanese but he is 55 pounds. DONT waste your mony with a dna test because it is obvious he isnt that.

When I got my dog the person who gave it to me was apparently out of her mind and said he was a lab mix. Then like a month later we figured out he wasn't part lab at all!
