No as long as you do something with your border collie everyday. Jog, play ball,or agility. They love to please.

They usually are unhappy as just pets. They like to have a job. I have a female border collie who I've had for 11 years and she is at her happiest when they don't have a job. She isn't a herder but I have her compete in agility trials and she loves to go places.

No, have your border collie do what wants to do . Unless, it is doing bad things.

No, Even though border collies are experts when it comes to herding. To them, a herding a sheep has the same level of excitement as throwing the ball and he will bring it back. They just love to run and be a part of what you are doing, so if you just do alot of things together with your border collie he will be just fine. Border collies need to do stuff since they are high intelligent you can teach them alot of stuff to do (turn of the light, open the door) they enjoy doing something for you and upu being happy about it. Thats the loving border collie. He wants to satisfy you or he will get bored and go satisfy himself(housebreaking) Good luck!
