We just had our first litter of bluetick pups (thirteen!) and were wondering when they get their spots?

Spots develop over time, sometimes it takes a few months to really see the spots good, but you should start seeing your Bluetick Coonhounds spots on them in the first week or 2.

I have raised several world and multiple Grand champion Blueticks and the spots as well as the greyish blue coloring will start showing by 6 weeks of age and continue until almost 8 months old to change. Don't be alarmed if they looked like Walker hounds at birth because of the white that should be blue...haha
