will it hurt to breed my male bloodhound before he is 1 year old? I heard it would stunt his growth.

AKC says anything after 9 months of age can be a registered sire. In the LARGE BREED WHY NOT WAIT TILL HE IS A MATURE MALE? The bones structure is not developed till 24 to 30 months of age. Don't you need to see what kind of dog he will turn out to be? Not every dog is stud dog material. Also what about having your bloodhound's health clearances at 24 months. He more than likely will have bad hips and you are breeding that into your puppies.
