I recently adopted a bloodhound and the shelter said he was a year and a half old or so, but he is only about 63 lbs and I feel like he should be bigger than that if he is as old as they said. Plus, he still acts like a puppy. I'm just curious, how old would you guess he is based on his weight?

As a dog grows through the first year to two years of its life improper health or feeding can keep them from reaching their full range of body weight and height. The best way to determine age is by a visit to the vet to have the dogs teeth checked. Daily romping will help with that puppy phase.
