Bloodhound Question

3 months old is still very young most dogs are still growing for the first 2 years and this is especially true of large breed dogs. I breed bloodhounds and found that they love to chew on just about anything even as adults. I would suggest giving your puppy a large roasted bone as a chew toy and if you catch him chewing on something he should not be redirect him to the bone making it clear that what he was chewing on is off limits I would not ever give something like old shoes or stuffed animals to your puppy because it will be confusing to him as to which shoe's he can chew on so I would make sure that anything that is not allowed is firmly reinforced by not letting him chew on them ever.

Bloodhounds can be very stubborn while training so it is important that your puppy knows who is boss. Training can take months so it is best to be kind but firm and always make sure if your puppy in jumping on the couch and this is an off limits spot that he is immediately removed from the couch. If you are patient, kind and firm you will in the end have a very loyal and obedient dog.
