All breeds of dogs go into heat every 6 months and it can last up to around 7 to 8 days

Females go into heat about every 6 to 7 months depending on the female. They are in heat for a total of 28 days, however will usually only breed for 7 of those days. They are fertile when blood changes from red to pinkish in color. They will usually have their first heat around 8 to 12 months old depending on the dog.

Thanks Carol,She did have it for over 20 days was getting worried! I ended up with one of her sisters. Going to get crazy if they both go into heat at the same time.

Like to address that ALL breeds come into heat every 6 months. BASENJI only comes in season 1 time a year. By rule 98% come in season in the fall. You will find a few with a werid spring season or mid summer heat but by rule FAll.
