The BRT is VERY protective of what he thinks is his, especially his meal ticket (that's you), so no one else should feed him. Mats? The BRT is a mat machine (new ones appear overnight). If you don't slicker him all over EVERY day, you will have to shear him Spring and Fall. They love the Winter and snow, and suffer in the heat. I think they'd love a dog house made of ice blocks. The BRT is a LOT of dog. If you want one, you either know exactly what you are doing, or you haven't a clue and better get an elderly Golden Retriever instead.
