Do you really have to brush the Black Russian Terrier once a week? I have 2 standard poodles and brush them very infrequently, and they do just fine.

The Black Russian Terrier does need brushing once a week. But if you carve out 10 minutes every day, it is even better. Brushing solidifies the bond between dog and human, so the more you spend time grooming your dog, the better the bond. As well, you will know instantly when your dog has an issue such as a lump, bump or sore spot. But in general, yes the B.R.T should be brushed once a week. The Poodle breed as well should be brushed thoroughly once a week,
