I have a 1 yr old Black Mouth Cur female that wants to be alpha with my 2 Labs. One is an intact male, the other is a neutered male. The 2 Labs were having an argument last night and she jumped into it and was tearing at the neutered male's skin like she was going to rip him apart. This is the first time she has done this, now I fear that she may do this when we are not around to stop her. Any recommendations on how to this behavior so she gets along with the dogs that are already here and only attacks what is not supposed to be here?

The trigger was the other two dogs having an argument. If you deal with those two fighting she will not have a need to jump into it. As far as attacking things that are not supposed to be there, why would you need that? You need to get a real trainer out to the house to teach you about the pack dynamics. Your Black Mouth Cur bitch is not trying to be dominant, she is trying to deal with a very upset pack.

Lol the gyp is going to establish dominance if she is a dominant dog thats just it the end. dogs have a pack mentality and if you dont establish the order as you being the alpha and they being the subordinates then your pack will establish its own. and as for her attacking the other dogs she didnt choose which one to attack she most likely just jumped into it to try to prove she could be alpha..also when a HUNTING dog hears or sees a fight going on they are naturally curious because they are bred to take down prey and predator animals. you dont need a trainer be firm with the dog dont let it get away with one behavior you dont like and you'll have a perfect pack no need to waste money on a trainer you dont need
