It's possible. Mine weighed in at 24 lbs; however he came up with bladder stones and has to loose weight. His ideal weight is 18.5.

My Bichon Snowball had bladder stone disease.She had several surgeries to remove them.And I gave her 1000cc of vitamin C each day.But she had more stones and had surgery June 27th.She died two days later.She was 11 1/2 years old.You will want to keep an eye on that dreadful disease.It creeps up on a dog before you recognize it.Pat

My bichon weighs 22 pounds and needs to lose weight. Weird how she was recently diagnosed with bladder stones too... I'm sorry to hear about your loss ;( Had no idea this was possible but... poor babies! Bichon's are hearty dogs but should weigh around 18 pounds to be healthy. Does weight make stones happen?
