Bernese Mountain Dog Question

i have a 6 month old bernese and she weighs 41 pounds. Is this to small?

Your veterinarian will assess your dog's overall health and can check for worms. Also, make sure you're feeding the proper amount each day. My Bernese pup weighed 38 pounds at four months, 77 pounds at 18 months. Much of how a pup develops is genetic. Check the size of both parents and grandparents if you can. Remember there is considerable variation in size within the breed. You may just have a runt.

Female bernese are almost always smaller than males. Normal weight vary between 45 to 65 lbs at that age. Genetics do play a huge part in your puppies potential size as well as your feeding & nutrition practices. Ask your vet to evaluate your feeding program and make appropriate adjustments as necessary.
