Basenji Question

We live in Oregon where it rains a lot. Our Basenji didn't like the rain at first and would pee right outside the door on the house under the eves. He did get used to it. I even bought him a rain coat, which my husband thought was dumb. We have 10 acres and he learned we had chores to do, feed the cows/chickens/pigs and he would run in the rain to where we were going. He never really liked it and snow was no fun. They are heat seekers and would rather lay on the couch where it's warm, but they do fine.

Most Basenji don't like water, if they have no choice but to get wet they will get over it

Mine hates the rain. She won't go outside to pee in the rain unless I walk out there with her. And she looks miserable the whole time. However they absolutely love to go for walks and it can be pouring down and if I say "wanna go for a walk?" she gets very hyper and whines and will run right out in it.
