It depends on where or who you get them from. Like if they are champion bloodline they often tend to be around 1,000. Ususally if you want just a companion that's not made for shows, then are from 500 to 900

The price of any purebred puppy will vary quite a lot depending on quality of the lines, health testing (hips, eyes, other genetic issues in the breed). A well bred Aussie pup may be $600-$1500 for a pet and twice that for a show potential puppy. Like anything, it is good to find a knowledgable breeder even if you only want a puppy for a pet. A good breeder will screen their adult dogs for the genetic conditions in the breed and that will reduce the risk your puppy will inherit those. They will also be able to answer any questions about the breed and the bloodlines, and be a good support system throughout the life of the dog.

Well, we live in Kansas and most Aussies aren't up to $900 for companions, but maybe they are in other places! Around here good pure bred Aussie cost about $300 to $650. For Aussies with champion blood lines are about $700 and up! We got are Aussie, Abby from a very responsable breeder for $300! She hasn't had any health promlems at all! She's not regestered but if she was she could defently could do conformation! All her red merle markings are right and she has a great temperment and personality! I don't think she has chapmion blood lines but her parents often won agility shows! Abby has also won an agility show and has done AMAZING at agility! You could also get a good aussie or aussie mix at the shelter for a about $60 to $150!

I bought my shepherd from a friend who breeds them. My dog has champion bloodlines and her parents are champion herders and are consistent obedience trial winners. I paid $1800 for my Aussie and that was with a discount because I knew the breeder. Best money I have ever spent. She is great in the obedience trails and is an amazing service dog. :)
