You can call your local Animal Control, or the like to find out if the Argentine Dogo breed is legal where you live and that of any other places you think you might be taking him/her. Do your homework very well. From the sound of your question you have lots of questions. I'm not saying you haven't already had experience with similar dogs or issues, but homework is a must with any dog that has a reputation like this one especially when it has been banned, namingly this one is so many places. Search the internet for breeders and with this also do your homework. There are places in each state/city/township that you can find out if any specific breeders have had any previous legal issues or complaints. We have and Angies list, someone needs to create a website dedicated to things just like this, dog/pet breeders, and so on, (If there isn't one already?) This too may also help in the fight against animal abuse/puppy mills and so on.
