Anatolian Shepherd Question

Will Anatolians keep deer off our 4 acres? We have fruit trees that deer will try to eat.

Your trees will be safe, but you must have VERY secure fencing for Anatolians. We have 6 anatolians on 200 acres, and we get deer, but not within 20 acres of the house, and not anywhere they are patrolling or guarding! Ours guard our goats, chickens and Cows, and we have never lost a domestic animal to a predator, or a fruit tree within our 3 acre yard to a deer!

Anatolians were bred, and are used today, to protect herds against predators and wild cats in Africa such as Cheetahs. Anatolians can be easily trained and are fearless defenders of their herds and pack; their bark is extremely intimidating. So, in answer to your question, yes, Anatolians will definitely protect your deer. They are also wonderful family dogs and will protect your family with the same fervor, yet are incredibly gentle with children.
