American Staffordshire Terrier Question

American Staffordshire Terrier's are a wonderful companion to children, they are loving and affectionate. They should be introduced slowly and proper rules set for the child in regard to appropriate interaction with the dog. The dog also needs obedience training and correction for any rough play. Usually the breed is very gentle and careful with children,they make wonderful playmates. NEVER leave any child unsupervised with ANY dog.

My American Staffordshire Terrier loves children...he is very gentle and kind to them. He does like to lick their faces and hands, a lot.

American Staffordshire Terrier's are great with children. I have always watched my grandson from the time he was born and now he is 19mos my dog licks him alot and tries to play with him I do have to watch THAT SHE DOESN'T get too excited because she likes to use her paws, she does try to dominate my amer bull dog tho and he is twice her size!
